Another Day....

Well here i go again.
I slept too late last night.
I woke too close to the time i had to go,
and was greeted by mid-morning light.

Quickly i get dressed,
soon im ready to go.
for the money i'll make my head says, "yes!"
but my heart keeps protesting, "no!"

Even while im down here,
precious time's a-wastin'.
And soon, it's the rancid flavor
of exhaustion i'll be tastin'.

This is my first day ill be working so long,
I think, "How's it gonna go?"
Will time pass quickly like i want it,
or will it pass real slow?

And finally, it's time to go.
This very moment in life is what i truly hates.
But for the money i'll make doing what i do....

ANOTHER DAY AT WORK AWAITS!!!!!

This was really good, I liked it a lot. It gives a real feeling not just about work but school and having to do things repeatedly, keep up the great work!

Hmm. No t.v., no sleep, no beer, make Homer go.... Well this is quite a clever poem and I'm feeling the effects of its subject right now. Keep it up.
