At blurring speeds, my car zips along on this rainy day. Enjoying life, wondering what could possibly go wrong. It had to happen then, stuck in fourth, a green light turn red. I slam them brakes. the car in front of me stops, yet my car does not. Frantic now, I lean harder on the peadal, the car starts to slow, Not nearly slow enough. My heart accelerates, My eyes bulge. I start to fly forward, My life flashed before my eyes. Oh my god I'm going to die. The final moments aproach, and the car in front of me fills my sight. Only inches are left now Only a miracle can save me. My car stopped. Six inches from the other. A sigh of relief comes over my whole body. My heart beats faster than the wings of a hummingbird, And I live to tell the story. |

I am glad that you are okay. I don't want you to ever do that again. This poem was very realistic, but put together well. I enjoyed reading it. Chel "True friends stab you in the front" "Always do your best, you will always succeed" |

Wow, what a frightening situation! I'm glad you're ok. You do some great storytelling with this work. Keep it up (and be more careful!)! "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." -Oscar Wilde "The robbed that smiles steals something from the thief" -Shakespea |
