I love poetry, but poetry hates me.

One thing before you read this…..smile!!

I am sitting here, in my room alone,
thinking of something deep
I can write in a poem.
The words do come, just before I sleep,
but I don’t write them down,
tomorrow morning I will frown
cause they don’t sound the same,
actually, they are kinda lame.
The make no sense
so they cannot be,
I love poetry,
but poetry hates me.

Waves...amazing hey? Wind blowing over smoothe ocean water creates shear. The longer the wind blows, and the futher the fetch, the more energy gets transferred from the wind to the water. What started off as a breeze 1 000km away, ends up as a glass-faced barrel at some far off beach.

Very well put, this happens to me all of the time and it drives me up the wall. I often times find myself waking up with pen in hand and something illegible scribbled onto the page. LoL. Thanks for the encouragement.

Very well written. I do know the feeling. Usually my poems come to me at night. I don't always write them down, but then it never sounds the same. This poem was very well written. Keep up the good work.

what can i say tears...you wrote this poem very well...i agree with you how your poems come at night then in the morning they dont sound right...thats how it is with me...if i dont write it down it doesnt make any sense later on...
