(I wrote this for my mom this Mother's Day)

For all the times I lay in my bed
crying
and while the tears stain my pillow
you are there, too
crying beside me
telling me everything will be
okay...
Thank You

For all the times we fight
my stubborn, bitter words
must be unbearable
and then those tears
roll down your cheeks
And I just crumble inside
with a piercing pang of guilt
for hurting someone I love so, so much
and you accept my apology, even if
I don't deserve it...
Thank You

For all the times I feel like a
nobody
screaming into a
faceless crowd
you embrace me in a hug
and whisper into my ear
how very proud you are of me,
and what a beautiful, intelligent
woman I am becoming

Well, Mom
you, too are
beautiful, intelligent
wonderful
you must believe that
And I am so proud of you
being a mother isn't easy
especially to me at times
but you accomplish it with such
love
and grace

So, I hope you find happiness in life
because you, of all people
deserve it the most.

This was such a good poem that I found myself crying in the end! My mother and I have a good relationship like that. I recently became a new mother and hope that one day, my daughter will have those same feelings for me that you portray in your poem. Great poem. You got my vote.

Beautiful poem. My mother is a great influence in my artistic passions. She too is a poet and has alwayz been there pushing me to follow my heart. Very heart felt. I love it!

well what can i say...this poem brought tears to my eyes...not only was it good but it made me think of my mom...she left us and doesnt want anything to do with me and my sister...im really glad that you and your mother have a good relationship...
