Fate of Humanity Existing somewhere, 'twixt sleep and reality, Standing, and seen through half-opened eyes; Poised in the door, amid lintel and floor, Showing no remorse nor surprise. Swiftly moving, sliding or hovering, Without feet at all to touch bottom; Traveling aloft, with garments so soft, Yet hopeless to humanly touch him. Closer and closer, coming en route, His plans laid clearly before him; Plans to be, or plans for me? Plans which, at this moment, begin. Eyes now closed, he cannot be sensed, How ironic, now all can I see! A touch of his palm, problems are gone... As my soul departs from its body. |
