I call you and all it does is ring Man, that has to be the most lonely sound The sound that reminds me that you’re not around It’s been 3 days of ringing, constant ringing You won’t talk to me and I don’t know why If it’s over, at least say goodbye 4th ring, it’s the machine, can’t stand to leave another message I can’t talk to it and make things alright I messed up once, I thought we settled that fight I stay on the line just to hear your voice God, I am so sorry, I love you so much, forgive me Without you I’d be lost, don’t know where I’d be Beep, time for another message, don’t know what to say It’s me again, just wanted to talk, call me back At least tell me what’s wrong, can’t you cut me some slack I hang it up to try and go on with my life But I can’t, I miss you, I feel so alone So I go back, again, and I pick up the phone "Your anger is a gift"-Rage Against The Machine |

Nice one keoni. I liked this a lot. I been there, the only problem is that it's not her voice on the answering machine. Just some robotic hag of a voice......annoying.  I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I'm in love with my shadow I admire it daily |

This is a wonderful poem. i think it rocks!!!! i too have been in this situation, unfortunately it sucks. but if they don't wanna pick up the song you just gotta think "their loss!!" and hang up the phone, primp your hair and go out guy huntin!! or girl huntin if you prefer but we won't touch upon that subject.
