Why is life so hard? It seems like I keep Playing the wrong card I always try and pray For GOD to make my Problems go away I feel so alone I just need to find My way home I'm always being taken Advantage of No one around me Shows any love So why do I stay alive? I'm strong And I know I'll survive I've got me and my writing It helps me to Keep on fighting When people don't care I just take out my pen And my paper and share Writing completes me It's the person I'm going To grow up to be ~If I had a star for everytime you made me smile, I'd be holding the entire midnight sky in my hands~ |

Haha, you're so impatient. Took you 17mins to reply to your own poem. Faster than me! Well I don't know. I don't think you'll get many replies from here on out. It's late. People will reply tomorrow morning....some might show up later but hey. Anyway I know EXACTLY what you mean by this poem. ALl I gotta say is AMEN SISTA! You took the words right out of my mouth. I feel exactly like this. In the end, all it is is me and my writing.  I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I'm in love with my shadow I admire it daily |

Don't be so hard on lilpoet. I felt the urge to reply to my first poem early. I actually did, when it started to sink... A great poem. I know how you feel on this one, i too used to pray to some "god" for help with my problems. Try to rely a little more on yourself than on others, and you could see a big change for the better. Don't pray to your "god" for things that you can make happen yourself. |

Seems like your pen, paper, and you are one. I can tell just by reading your writing. "When people don't care I just take out my pen And my paper and share" I feel this way too. I thought i was the only one.
