I Am The Child They started it all with a flick of the pen, Enough was enough it won't happen again. Blood and doubt, bullets and guns, Flesh in the field and from out of the slums. Marching through weeds, water and endless peril, Fighting the continuous unseen enemy. The child, he waits, for the incoming herald; Yet finds only Folly and Foe... The king sat aloft with a throne and a crown, There are no people left in his town. What is a king with no people to rule; A simple commoner, only a fool. The fool, once a king, will no longer have power, While the Lord once laid with no hay for his bed. The fool looks out from and into the heavens; Yet finds only Folly and Foe... Defiant and proud, return the men from the battle, The fool and the child look on and prattle. Fool and child alike have been starved, King and child alike have been carved. For I am the child, and you are the fool, Together we stand, united by cause; Together we search for meaning inside... Yet find only Folly and Foe. |

Wow...I honestly dont know what to say. This was really amazing, it flowed so well and the whole meaning was described so well. Great job. |

Welcome to passions.....nice poem here. Very original. I liked it a lot!  I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |
