I come to this place called netpoets, I post my poetry and ppl let me know how they feel, But when i look at the forums guys, All I see are poems with only 1. One of my poems I requested to be shutdown, for it had 165 replies and some had none, I have become a pretty popular writter in here, I always get replies, Im not complaining but it hurts when you have so many and someone else isnt even reconized. People lets let the new ppl in, I was one once and you let me in, Reply reply reply to all not just one. Great poem or not let them know whats good or whats wrong. im leaving you with this thought. What would passions be if you would have never let me in? Never read a poem of mine? |

You are so right! We were all newbies once! I was a newbie, Krista was a newbie, even Ron was a newbie (once upon a time!). We should all welcome each new poet that enters here, remembering that we were once new members. Thanks for posting this, Branden. Thanks love bug for the boost but really if no one wants to reply dont let them, i mean all i tryed saying was 165 to 1 is pretty sad newbie or not. i try to reply as much as possible. "i just love when you bring your whole crew because its just a bigger piece of cake for me to chew threw" |

Definitely true! Thanks for posting this! Well hey......it's not just the newbies!!! I posted up 2 of my songs and one got 2 replies, the other got 1........now they're on page two and forgotten. I have no problem with that but i think this is a general issue. Not for only the newbies...........but for everybody. Lets address this issue.......  I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

SORRI! i'm so bad with replying! i maybe reply to one poem only once a month if i really like it. this is due to the fact i hardly get in here to read new ones, yet alone have time to reply to them all. but i will try to make an effort to reply more often! I feel that some poems people relate to more then others and that's why they get more relpies then others. I try to read and reply to as many as I can but when I don't have much time I usually read the poems from the people who have had poems I read and like in the past. I'll try to reas more new people's poems and reply though because getting 0 or 1 replay does suck. Lauren |

Let me tell you from experience that it takes work to reply to every poem. But for some reason I feel like I'll miss something great if I just pick and choose!! I know I have practically no life right now so I have a lot of time to reply, and everyone doesn't have that time. Just do whatever you can! I've been bad the past few days because of the holiday's, so I'm turning the forums inside out trying to catch up. I hope everyone doesn't mind. I think every one has their own stradegy and own way about using this forum. Some people try to reply to every poem. Others like particular poets and they reply to them. Some ppl try to reply to the poems with low replies or whatever. I admit that I love to recieve replies but I would like to say, don't reply to my poem just to reply to it. If you read a poem and would like to comment or just let them know that you read it, that is great, but don't reply because you feel obligated to. I guess my opinion on the whole thing is that people should reply to whatever poems they want and not be asked to. I do hope the intrest in this forum grows and every bodies poetry gets read as much as possible though. I really love this place and have always felt welcome.
