I always was a Daddy’s Girl,
And I assume you know.
Everywhere you went, Daddy,
I was sure to go.

Making French toast in the morning,
Dancing on your feet,
And do you remember swinging me
Whenever you and mom folded sheets?

And as I got older, Dad,
You drove me to the mall.
You bought me all my hip new clothes
With every coming fall.

We went to O.O.B.
And visited all your friends.
All the fun times we had, Daddy,
Never seemed to end.

But I am a young woman now,
Testing my wings in the world.
And though lots of things are different,
I’ll always be Daddy’s Girl.

*I wrote this for my Dad as part of his Xmas present*

I'm so glad that you have such a wonderful relationship with your father, most teens aren't so lucky. This is a beautiful tribute to him, and I'm sure this will be the best gift he will recieve this year. Thanks for posting!

This was great. Awwwwwww it was so cute. I hope my future daughter thinks this of me.

*wipes tears away* whoa, what a wonderful poem it is a wonderful present to your dad and it kinda will sooth his feeling cuz he may think he's loosing daddy's lil girl and your letting him know he's not and that daddy's girl is just exploring new options.

This was such a great poem, I bet he loved it.  How did he react when he read it?
