So Low |

I wanted to give my heart to him But he looked it over, decided it wasn't good enough And returned my love But not in the way that I wanted him to Now I am left reeling... With the feelings of worthlessness, That only you can make me feel But I want to know... Who gave you the right to make me feel so low? Your answer is so simple, I should have saw it myself But I was too busy comtemplating my self-worth You pointed at me and whispered, "You have control over your own emotions." It was me that gave me the right to let myself feel so low. "Do not marry the one that you can live with. Marry the one you cannot live without." |

Wow.......yea well you are so right about your realization throughout the poem. Anyway good one! I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

You've summed up this message nicely Words_of_Glitter. We cannot change someone else's actions ... only "our" reaction to them. I've used this principal a lot in my life ... and it's so very true! Best wishes, /Kit |

This is really amazing and full of emotion! You are a VERY talented writer. I hope you don't feel any more worthlessness because no one deserves to feel that way- no matter who makes them. Jesus loves you, and He will love you forever. Merry Christmas! God Bless and Keep Smiling Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; run and not grow weary, walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:3 |

Words_of_Glitter You have written this poem well, and I can understand how you feel... unfortunatly by the time you realise that the person you love isn't going to return your love, it is often too late to save your heart. I used to know a poem that went something like this... The heart is not a game The heart is not a toy If you want it broken Then give it to a boy. He'll break it into a million peices, And shatter it like glass I am not saying that all guys do this - but the ones that do aren't worth the time of day! There are good ones out there - I know a few, but we all just have to wait till one comes our way! Melz!! Dont believe what ur eyes r telling u they only show limitation. Look with ur understanding, find out what u already know & u will see the way to fly |

Its true that only we have control over our emotions but people contribute to this too. Don't let this guy get you down. He's not good enough for you. Someday you'll find someone who is. Excellent poem. apsara |

This is very well-written piece. I have been through this before, and I'm glad that you realize that you are the only one that can control your emotions. Thanks for posting. "Where there is great love there are always miracles" -Cather "Love heals everything, and love is all there is"- Zukav |
