It's hard to say when it happened,
I guess it's always been there
We just never had a chance to take it any further.

18 months ago we met
It wasn't simply chance that brought us together
We were meant to meet that day!

Things are now complex,
Our true feelings now we know,
That proir friendship isn't enough.

Things are looking up for us
We finally have a chance to make things work
But so little time do we have.

It is now time for you to leave me
Time to follow your dreams
This comes as no surprise,
I have known for weeks you were leaving.

I never had the chance to say good-bye
I never had the chance to tell you how I feel
I never had the chance to tell you that I love you
I never had the chance to get to love you.

So now here starts the long hard haul,
First Adelaide then Wagga,
10 weeks and 12 months respectively
That you will be away, after that who knows.

I know it's an awful long time,
I wish I was there with you,
I know a lot can happen in that time,
But I pray we can stick together.

I want you to remember
That no matter what happens
I will always love you
But I'll be your friend forever!

This poem I wrote for a friend. We were separated 2 days after he told me how he felt and we nevr saw each other after he told me! I miss him heaps... he returns in 8 days and I don't know what to tell him!! I hope to hear what you all think soon!!

First of all Welcome to Passions!!!I hope that you enjoy it here...

I think that you should just let this guy know how you are feeling...Or why not just give him the poem...

Whoa, WELCOME TO PASSIONS!! You will learn that me, dopey, and lakewalker are probably maybe, mostly gonna reply to a lot of poems and were also the craziest (hint hint stay away)jk but i like this poem its just what we needed in passions......FRESH poems everyone take a wif and smell it doesnt it smell great?!?! i think it does great poem!

Melz, First of all WELCOME TO PASSIONS!!!

Second of all, ive been thru this exact situation, and i do mean exact...he and i decided to hook up, dispite the distance, but ol' Tamma fergot she caint handle LDR's, so I broke it off...Good Luck, and I hope you have better wilpower than i do

Great first post! Yeah, you should totally give him the poem so he can have a grasp of how you really feel. Good luck in everything. I hope you keep sending in poems. This is a great place to share your feelings and take part in others' troubles, and just read poetry! I look forward to reading more.

Thanks guys - I am really enjoying myself here!  I am enjoying the snowball fight - I sit here in stitches reading it all!!  Thanks - it brightens my days!!
