what happens to a dream
that is no longer dreamt
does it float away into the sky
like a cloud of mist or steam
is there a loud bang and a cloud of smoke
while it vanishes from the eye
is it thrown in the trash
like a cheap toy that broke
will it speed to its last breathe
as a disastorous plane crash
does it harden like a cactus
growing in the desert escaping death
or does it wander around sad and blue
like a lone passenger on a bus
i never want to know
my dreams may never come true
but theyll always live with me
and their numbers will grow

Its better to be hated for who you are than loved for who you are not
