If I Could Take Back One Mistake I never even realized How sweet you were to me I was in my own world And all of this I didn't see. I loved you so much But you didn't love me back I didn't know what to do So I tried to attack. I never saw it through your eyes I never felt it with your heart I just assumed you hated me When you wanted to be apart. I guess the words "I love you" Were a little bit too strong Cause then everything was different Maybe the timing was all wrong. After that I apologized And asked you to forget But I know you never did Which is one of my regrets. If I could take back one mistake I'd take back just that night So we wouldn't have to be this way And everything would be right. |

I know that feeling, when you have emotions and you want to share them, but they are too strong, for the other person. Im sorry things didnt work out, but this poem is great. The feeling and voice in it are so strong. Great job! "In great moments life seems neither right nor wrong but something greater it seems inevitable" ~Kelley |

One of the things I regret most in my life is the time I told a girl I loved her while knowing I truly didn't. Why did I do this? I have no idea! I was 14 and foolish! Anyway......Here's the deal folks....when you say "i love you" you're not speaking words here......you're describing the most powerful abstract feeling known in existance. You become vulnerable to the person when you say it. Sometimes you honestly and truly feel it but timing is a key deal here. If you blurt it out without realizing it.......you're in over your heads. If you say it to a person that doesn't feel it back, then you're in trouble and will face the wrath of unrequited love (aka TORTURE). All in all, use those 3 words wisely. Good look with you! ![]() I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

We all make mistakes in love. We all do things that we regret, but all we can do is learn from it and try to move on. Thanks for sharing. "Where there is great love there are always miracles" -Cather "Love heals everything, and love is all there is"- Zukav |

I think LoveBug said it all: "all we can do is learn from it". We all have those awful moments we wish we could erase! You just have to learn what you can from the experience and try not to repeat it. Anyway, nice job on the poem ![]() "Disagreements stimulate thought, thought stimulates action, and action stimulates life." --Lakewalker [URL=http://www.thehungersite.com]http://www. |

Those three little words can two two things, lift you up higher than you ever thought possible or sink you down to your nose in quick sand. It all depends, who said it, when they said it and why they said it. Once, a very long time ago I loved this guy and I told him so, and it was the wong time, he had a girlfriend and didn't feel the same, we didn't talk for a while because it was akward. Then he came back and said that he loved me, only now I wasn't too sure. He said that he knew it was bad timing before, but love just doesn't dissapear, so I must love him still - only I don't think I ever actually loved him, becuase it wasn't there. So you have to choose everything so carefully. And I think that there is a time in everyone's life when they wish they could turn back the clock and start over, maybe not saying something they said or saying something they were too chicken to say the first time. That's another common thing, regretting something you didn't do. I think their both pretty bad. In one respect you say to yourself "If only I hadn't said that" and in the other you say "If only I'd said that". I can't decide which is less painful. You can't take back something you did say, but you may not get another chance. Hang in there, it does get better and this poem was a brilliant mix of your emotions. Keep it up. **I didn't loose my mind it was mine to give away** ~Robbie Williams~ |
