Lost Mother My best friend is lost Put away for doing wrong She shouldn't have done that Got herself in trouble Drugs lead her the wrong way I told her what they would do- Drugs are no good Did she listen? And now shes in jail No where to be seen She wanted me to come visit her She wanted me to write She wanted me to talk on the phone But it was too late She lost my confidence in her That only a mother could have I looked up to her for all my life And now all my faith in her is lost She lost the most important thing That she could ever have Her childs faith in her How could she do that? I wish I had the answers... Shes back at home now But still hasn't gained her childs faith She said she had time to think That now she knows whats important Its not drugs, Or her friends, Or money, Instead its her child Her child is now her number one priority Or so she says Do I believe that? After all the lies After all the lost faith Do I believe it? My best friend is lost... |

This is a horrible situation! I hope all gets better soon........ the expression, however, is great. You expressed your pain well. Good job! I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

You've expressed yourself well in this piece QTpieOmy (love your pen name by the way). It sounds like your fiend is in a terribly difficult situation. I truly hope that the person has learned their lesson and will make an attempt at a life change. Best wishes and prayers that all will be well ... Best wishes, /Kit |

I know exactly what you're going through. My mom got into drugs and alcohol. Not a good mixture. She never went to jail because she never got caught. She was acting really weird and she never took care of me or my sisters...well i moved out because i was the oldest and i had a choice of where i wanted to live. I think she is doing better now that I've left. Just keep praying that things will turn out ok, that's what I did...and I still am. It's hard because you think of a mother being your best friend and everything else. I still love her and I'm sure you love your mom too. Things will get better soon...and I'll pray for you. ~Writing is filling up your soul with words~ --Me |

Your poem is really good, but this sounds like it's tough. I hope things get better soon. "Disagreements stimulate thought, thought stimulates action, and action stimulates life." --Lakewalker http://www.thehungersite.com |

This is a terrible situation and im so sorry that it had to happen to you! Im glad that your mom finally realized what was most important to her in her life and got her priorities straightened out...you deserve to have a mother there for you always. I hope things get better for you real soon... |
