~*~Contentment~*~ A feeling not known by my heart in a very long time So many things caused my once perfect life to stop on a dime A nine year old girl coping with her parents divorce It was like a hurricane through my life killing me with it's force A very broken heart lying in pieces on the floor Brought thoughts of suicide to end my endless pain forevermore My best friend's death only brought more darkness to my days Why couldn't I find the way out of this painful maze? Unrequited love ending with "I'm not really sure" I begged the lord "please just give me a cure" A slow petal drifting away into the sky As I slowy realized that I had found the perfect guy! Yes, it's you my dearest Chris Ever since you came into my life it's been complete and total bliss. You made me thankful that I never really died And even more thankful for all the lonely tears I cried You opened my eyes and made me truly see What it was the lord had in store for me You're an angel sent to me from above. You're my "one and only"; my TRUE LOVE!! ~*~Love is the product of our dicontentment with ourselves~*~ ~*~SMILE! It makes your butt shine!~*~ |

star i have to say that your poems are very beautiful...and this is one that i like the most...6 months ago before i met my boyfriend my life was sh**...i was gonna kill myself june 3...the day after my graduation...hes the only reason i didnt...and im really glad that you had a guy (CHRIS) there for you...i really hope this poem makes it to the book...you have my vote... ~IF YOU WANT SOMETHING VERY BADLY~SET IT FREE~IF IT COMES BACK TO YOU~ITS YOURS FOREVER~IF IT DOESNT IT WAS NEVER YOURS TO BEGIN WITH~ |

Hey Jessica,I'm glad your back. This poem touches really close to home for me because first of all my parents divorced when I was 10. I too have battled very much with suicide, and serious depression. Its great that you have found true love. I wish that I could say the same. Post more suff, I like it. jason |

I guess it just seems to me that my words flow easier when I'm upest and depressed.Maybe I'll write a few more happy poems and post 'em. lol. thanks for the reply!! Jason~I'm sorry to hear you've had to feel the same pain I have! I would never wish it upon anyone! NO one deserves that much pain!!!Sucicide is very upsetting to me now. I guess it's just because I got really lucky!! I want you to know that there is ALWAYS someone here for you and I am ALWAYS willing to listen! Any friend of Jeremy's is a friend of mine!  please don't ever hesitate to e-mail me. I know what it's like to be depressed, and it truly sucks. Please just keep your head up, I know that someday somewhere you'll find your reward for all the sufferering you've had to deal with!! Lovebug~well, this is what ya do...You visit a little store I like to call Heartbreak. You buy a few heartaches and go through a lot of pain and as a consolation they send you a wonderful guy who treats you like an angel and loves you more than anything!! Just kidding!!!!! hehehe To tell you the truth, that is how it seemed! I found a lot of heart ache before I found Chris, but I'll tell you this much...You will find that special someone! And when you do, it's gonna be like 7th heaven or something of the sort. lol. I hope you do find the perfect one just for you!! Keep your chin up until then, and just remember that sometimes we have to go through bad stuff to make us realize what the good things are truly worth!!! ~*~Love is the product of our dicontentment with ourselves~*~ ~*~SMILE! well done indeed! i am impressed and moved. this was fantastic. the story of your life; nice, neat, and the emotion not left out. and contentment seems to be a rather lacking thing in the world these days. that and redemption. it would seem you've found a great supply of both. congrats. oh. and by the by, you've got my vote. the world needs more o' this kinda stuff in it.
