I saw pain
I saw sorrow
I felt his pain and sorrow.

I said this isn't fair to him
his body cannot take it anymore
he is going to die soon.

I am blessed to have him a father
he'll always be in my heart
he'll never leave either.

When I lost hope
he gave me hope
when I lost myself
he found myself.

I saw his body getting weaker
there wasn't any stopping him
from dying and he did on 12-23-99.

All his cancer's gone
he's not in pain
he is resting for what he had been threw.

I'll never forget him for the world
how can you forget a good dad like him
you just don't.

I love you daddy..

Minna, this is a beautiful tribute to your father. I'm sure he's proud of who you are and of what a great writer you are becoming. Thanks for sharing.

you have writeen such sad poems Minna.  But sometimes it's our misfortunes that lead us to write with such beauty.  I'm sorry to hear what your dad had to go thru, and specially what you have to go thru too.  thanks for sharing this

I'm sorry this has happened to you. But this is very well written, and I am positive that where ever your dad is, he's proud of what you're becoming.
