All I want to say is What's a poetry forum for If you can't express your feelings? When your work has been deleted Just because they thought it was too much? When it is my work It doesnt have to say I mean t at that very moment It's just an expression that had to get out But it's kind of a low thing When they won't let you So you ruîned it for me You won't see me again I found some other place Where they do let me Goodbye All of my life Where have you been I wonder if I'll Ever see you again ~*~*~Lenny Kravitz-Again~*~*~ |

It's a pitty you're leaving because you are a great poet. I think it sucks that we can't post everything just because of bad language and stuff, but this is a family thing. so i mean i wouldn't want some little 9yr old coming on here cuz he likes poetry and sees an F word around here and stuff. Anyway i really think you should stay considering you've been a member for a while and the people here are great.......  "I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust." I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

Virgin, I'm sorry that you feel this way. You have to understand that there are some things that are allowed, and some things that aren't. Like Dopey said, this is a family site, and we have to make sure that everything here is appropriate. Passions is a place where feelings should be expressed, but we also have to harness some of those feelings for the good of others. I've read the poem that you are referring to, and it can be interpreted in many different ways. Many times, when you write about something, the reader sees a completely different message conveyed in the piece. This is the reason it was moved. You are a wonderful poet, and I hope that you see why we do this. Please stay with us. False gems may shine as brightly as the genuine article, but there are always those who can tell the difference. |

VS don't leave me here all by myself!!!!! I need you here so that the poetry stays balanced. I enjoy reading your poems, and they won't even let you write what you want to write in Dark Passions..... I got "yelled at" sort of because they thought my poem was about suicide, what do they know. Don't leave me here with all these weird ppl, please!!! We love you!!!!!! VS...I am sorry that you feel you need to leave us but the decision is yours. We all will miss you here. I hope you realize that. Never have any of us (admin. and moderators) intended to supress your creativity or intended to limit what you write. What we do limit is what you post here for all eyes to see. Our youngest member is 8 or 9 I believe. We need to make sure what they read is appropriate material for someone that age. This is a public forum and thousands of eyes can see our work. It is a very great thing to know that that many people read here. It also carries a huge responsiblity with it. How would you feel if your poem inspired someone that young to take their own life? How would you feel if you knew that because of a dark poem of yours someone thought "yeah, there is no use fighting any more"? It is an awsome responsibilty. I guess as poets that post in a public forum, we need to be ready to take on that responsibity. |

If this is how you feel, then i guess we can't stop you then. Just remember that all of us would ask you to stay. For our benefit and for yours too. Please try to understand their point of view too. I am gonna have to agree with the moderators in this matter. I never read the piece, but if they do feel it's not appropriate, then that's how it should be. But don't let this stop you from sharing in this poem. STAY..please I see no changes, wake up in the morning I ask myself, "Is life worth living or should I blast myself" TUPAC SHAKUR |
