There's a child Staring from my bed As I dry my hair I start to contemplate "How did I become this And bring her into my world Life was once so misrerable Without my little girl" She's such a beautiful child And has her father's face Even if she is a Half cast No one can prejudge this face She's my ray of rainbow In this dark old world In the darkest ocean She would be a shining pearl Still she looks at me, her eyes shining a bottle green and when I pick her up She smiles and kisses me I love my little Emily Ann And one day you all will see It doesn't matter I'm only 19 cos she means everything to me |

Dirty diapers, teething rings, Little bunnies and scary dreams. Up all night while fevers hot, Flamming bottoms and whooping cough. The brightest eyes with aligator tears, A mothers kiss soothes every fear. A little pout, a sour face, To get thier way, you will be graced. The brightest smile to make your day, A silly laugh, so bright and gay. A little child whos yours from birth, Theres no better gift upon this earth. Lovely poem and a great tribute to your daughter. It is plain that she is the light of your life. I have 3 of my own and I wouldn't trade them for the world. |

The world will just have to adjust." I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

This is beautiful. You shine with love and honor for your little girl, I loved reading this one. Age means nothing when it comes to motherhood, I know women in their 40's who are poor mothers and I've seen 16 yr. olds who shower their babies with all the attention they could want. It's the heart that is mature with love. This was nice, and refreshing. "When red-haired girls scamper like roses over the rain-green grass, and the sun drips honey."" Laurie Lee Kathleen |

This was really good...Such a wonderful poem to your daughter...At being 19 you sound like you are doing a really good job at it...Not like other people I know who will throw their kids off on anyone that will take them...Thanks for sharing this with us!!! ![]() ~*Love is sometimes like a rose. Beautiful in the beginning but dies in the end.*~ |
