If I Could

If I could dream away all my problems,
I'd leave every one of them in my fantasy world,
and take the fantasy me back to my life.

If I could cry away all my pain,
It wouldn't matter how many tears I've shed,
because each one would furthur cleanse my soul of all the hurt.

If I could scream away all my fears,
they'd run away to haunt somoene else.
Or I'd bury them in the frightening world that's taken over my life.

If I could throw away all my confusion,
I'd replace it with complete understanding of every aspect of life.

If I could end my life,
I would banish it forever.
I'd kill every bad thing that's emotionally killed me.
But I can't-
Because despite all the
problems, fears, pain, confusion,
and whatever else may block my path,
There's too much to live for.

If I could make everything perfect, I would.
But I'll just have to live.

This is a beautiful poem.  It is really heart felt and if only we could do those things.  So many times I have felt this way and I am sure everyone else has too.  Great poem!!!

I think everyone feels this way at some point or another, I have felt this way many times in my depths of sorrow. I guess we just have to deal with all the bad things that are thrown in our paths, Best of Luck my friend and keep your heada up!!

I loved your poem. It was very beautiful! I can really relate to it, because I feel the same way. I have depression and sometimes wanna just give up but I know that I can't and tha's exactly what your peom says. We should get to know each-other better. awesome. I really like your poem, reminds me of my life, and life in general, also i like the syle of the poem.

I'm glad u guyz could relate to this, although what I was feeling when I wrote it was not something that I'd ever wish for anyone to feel. Although I was very depressed when this was written, I was trying to hold onto hope, which I expressed in the last lines. Thanx again for your feedback!!!
