What do you say to the only person who'll always be there? The only person who'll alway care. The only person who's laughs are always shared. What do you say to the only person who'll always be your shoulder to cry on. The only person who's there until the end. The only person who helps your heart mend. What do you say to the only person who gives you hope when you have none. The only person who loves you when no one else did. The only person I let in my heart, everyone else I forbid. What do you say to the only person who loves you through thick and thin. The only person who laughs with you and not at you. The only person who supports you in everything you do. What do you say to this kind of a person? This person who's one of a kind. This person who you'll never leave behind. You tell her that you'll always love her. You'll always be there. You'll always care. You tell her that you'll always be the same kind of friend that she's been to you. You'll always be her shoulder to cry on. You'll never be gone. But most of all you tell her thanks. You tell her she's the best friends you could ever ask for. You tell her that's all you want and nothing more. Hey Chickie, I love the idea behind this poem. So many people are someone else's best friend and never get the thanx or recognition they deserve. All they want is a thank and an I love you. Thanks for all the replies guys! I wrote it to give to my friend before she went away for the summer. Which here is about 3 months. She went to NC and I live in upstate NY so it's quite a ways and I probably won't see her. She loved it. Thanks for all your support! Love you guys!
