I went to school today feeling very safe,
But was I?
No i was not safe at all,
This school could not protect me from another kid,
If another kid could beat the crap outta me,
Then whats stopping another columbine shooting?

Exactly my point I went to school feeling safe,
Now I feel very afraid,
When that kid slaped me i just stood there,
Not feeling a thing,
The only thing i felt was anger and frustration,
I knew if i hit him i wouldnt be able to go to my homecoming dance,
When it all ended not even a thing the kid got set free,
Thanks alot school thanks alot CENTRAL HIGH,
Thanks to you i will be in my grave someday,
Thanks alot today could be the last day to see that speacial person.....MY MOM!

This poem was writtin on october 7th 2000 and its about today when i went to school and this kid just about beat the living crap outta me i couldve put this kid down ya but i didnt and somehow i get suspended and i didnt so much as punch him all i did was pushed him cause he was choking me

sorry to hear that....but it rings true, so often im scared to go to school, cause we always have ppl walking in and out

I'm sorry that this happened and that you have to feel this way. The thing I like most about going to my school is that I do feel safe. Thanks for sharing this poem.

Ya thanks for replying i appreciate it a lot and ya some may feel safe but in real life others may not...i am one of those but all well its america and what the heck n e thing can happen

THAT IS TOTALLY UNFAIR!!!! you didn't do anything and you got suspended?!?! that totally sucks. i agree all the way on school's not being protected enough. we have cameras all over the school and it doesn't make me feel any safer because i can get the crap beaten out of me in the parking lot or in a hallway that doesn't have a camera after school! Hope you're ok!
