Another crappy piece from the Queen of Horrid Poetry... Icy Hope Hate’s frigid frost has arrived, etched in ice, Its very presence polar fairies does entice Encasing all with remnants of its frozen breath, It embraces the land, imparts its kiss of death. A dewdrop, a flower’s tear, rests poised on the brink Frozen for memory’s eternity, unable to blink. This once fertile garden is destined to become A barren wasteland of despair, cold and numb. The arctic winds of desolation will soon blow Carrying with them pessimistic glacial snows. The plenteous fields of yore shall wither and wilt, Buried beneath these colossal drifts of guilt. Love’s warmth dissipates, trapped in an icicle cage, It’s radiant passion lays dormant, disengaged. Powdery footprints of affection quickly disappear, Swept away by gusts of long forgotten fear. But deep in the center of this wintry hell Lies one lone flower, whose petals upward impel. Hope, intrinsic sentiment, provided a flame, Whose subtle heat the deadly cold does tame. In this cocoon the cradled flower does grow, Forever harboring a blossom that cannot show. |

This is not crap! I really like how it starts out making you feel cold and then at the end there's the warmth to it. Great writing ![]() "Hope, intrinsic sentiment, provided a flame, Whose subtle heat the deadly cold does tame.
