Scarred

There is a hollow,
In my heart,
Where happiness used to be.
My once beautiful and radiant face,
Is now tear-streaked and sad.
The joy and peace,
That I used to feel,
Have been stolen.
The will,
I used to have,
Has long disppeared.
The shy smile,
That used to spread across my face,
Refuses to show itself again.
The warmth,
That long ago used to fill my life,
Has been replaced by depression.
This terrible disease has plagued my mind and body.
It has left behind it's never healing scar on my wounded soul.

well what can i say??? this is a BEAUTIFUL poem...i really liked it alot...get on with your life...dont let your past drag you down...remeber your past is nothing but a bunch of memories...its the future you should be worring about...

This is heart-wrenching Night_Mist ... your emotions come through clearly in this wonderfully written verse. I do hope the pain will dissipate with time. Writing has always been my therapy for the soul ... keep it up! Great work!

I'm so sorry that this is how you feel. Be strong for this will show your true character. We all hurt in life but it's getting thru it that makes us stronger. You scars will vanish in time.
