Closing in on Me |

This world surrounds me, It is closing in on me, Preparing me for an eternal blackness. Eternal emptiness. Yet I smiled at the black hole, and laughed at the wind that burns me. My face stings, my nose is crimson-tinted. The days are circular; My never ending wishful thinking. This is a poem I wrote a while ago... with a few minor alterations... I never got to post it, so here you all go. Hope you like! Jenn |

I liked this one a lot!! I think we all feel like this at some point in our lives. I too smile even when I am not smiling on the inside. This was wonderful and very true. I liked the crimson-tinting. I like a lot of the wording in this poem. I'd like to see this style more often. I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |

I enjoyed reading your poem, and I thank you for reading mine. I believe we all make a difference in everyone. Keep up the good work! *You may find love, but true love is hard to find!* ~J |
