hey dope i read that poem of yours Nothing and i just had a sense of nihilism..well here you go...and ppl please reply..it is much appreciated to kiss me with my own red lips to bloom like a flower then wither and die I am your nothing I am denial I am acceptance I am your tears to cry and fear of once myself to fall apart and be crumpled by years I am your nothing I am confusion I am anger I am your remorse And maybe if i found a way and maybe if i stopped caring i would forget you would forget we could go on as past disappears I can fall into the deepest well i'll drown myself i'll forget all about alone in the dark just as i wished no concerns here no people that push to just ignore and find ways to explore to find myself among everything else I am your nothing I am your hate I am your love I am nothing Now night arrives with her purple legions Retire now to your tents & to your dreams Tomorrow we enter the town of my birth I want to be ready. - JM |

Anomaly, you are a great writer. I am so happy you posted this up specifically so i could read it. Take a glimpse into more of your work. I loved it, like I loved everything else. You remind me of myself when i was in 9th grade. I was so depressed, I was so messed up when I was in 9th grade and that's why I started to write. Im not sayin you're messed up, i'm sayin..your style reminds me of mine, but much better. Wanna know a little secret that I dont mind anybody knowing on this forum? Here we go buddy.....the reason why I started to write poetry at first was to IMPRESS THE LADIES! I started off by reading THE NORTON ANTHOLOGY OF MODERN POETRY editions 1-3....dude those books EACH are like more than 3,000 pages. So yea i read a lot of stylez and poems. Anyway, i started to mimick them and whatever and then.....then my life actually started to suck haha....like....i was pretty sheltered, but then all of a sudden i was out into the open. Free into the world without a sheet of armor. So I became vulnerable. I wrote to comfort myself, and I wrote for reasons unknown. Later on, as I grew older, I found out that i AM a poet. It's not something I do as a hobbie, it's not something that entertains me or anything like that.....its what i AM....its a state of being for me. Its WHO i am.....javier is a POET.....so yea.... just felt like youd like to know.......i like you.....yer that first, rare strand of white hair on an ageing man. At first you're a bother to all the other hairs, but soon enuff.....they just end up becoming just like you. Adios ![]() I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |

This is really good. when did you first post this? I like it a lot. I started writing for the same reason as Dopey in all honesty. I don't post many love poems now, but that the way it was. Shortly thereafter, all other manner of subjects flowed, santeria, being mulatto, being hispanic, being a political exile, fantasy, ect |

thank you all for your amazing replies.. dope-i truly treasure your compliments more than anything in the world..i usually really dislike my work but whenever you give praise i feel better about it...whenever i show it to my friends..occassionally..i don't feel as though they really like it so it brings be down...but yes you are a true poet and i'd like to think of myself as one..either now or in the future...as to me reminding you of yourself...(not to be arrogant lol) great minds think alike. Anomaly, shhhhhhhhh don't say im a great mind. Most people in this forum dislike me. I think it's because i'm honest. Anyway, I'll be posting up more work and soon enuff i'll be entering my 10th grade work. I think in about 4 days or so. I'll inform you which is the first 4th wave poem. Anyway, once again.....the poem was great and you know what? YOU bring me up, like I bring you up. I have gotten e-mails from members of this forum just yelling at me, telling me that I shouldnt question their poems. All i do is try to probe within the MEANING of the poem and they take it as a direct insult that i delve within the core of the meaning rather than just say "GREAT WORK!" and continue on with my life. Dude i dont know. Sometimes I just get fet up with how people react towards my ways. Obviously I won't stop being me! HAHA! OH WELL!!!!!!!!! You keep me up, don't ever just decide to leave this place without telling me dude, ok? OK! BYE! ![]() I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself.
