A leaf falls from a tree without disturbing the earth Expecting parents mourn over their still birth Another season's cycle has quickly ended With lives and souls broken, left to be mended In the Summer life flourished joy was spread around Nothing seemed it could ever be brought down However, as it always does, the Summer soon passed on Leaving it just a memory, some happiness gone Quickly came Fall with trees losing their leaves Summer is lost and with it some of your beliefs The weather has dropped the rais comes and goes And yet it seems the wind constantly blows Yet this season must go, the next has arrived One colder, darker, and makes you want to hide Your breath turns to ice, cold that burns like fire Winter makes Summer your only desire But like the rest of the seasons, Winter must end And make new room for Summer's best friend Spring was reborn as it always will do Another cycles passed, another year is through. 'I once picked a daisy's petals searching for an answer. I went through 10 daisy's before getting the answer I was looking for...I love you.' |
