"Hi I am 20 years old and no longer a teen but I wrote this poem when I was 18 and still in high school. Just thought I would share it. Hope you like it"

I LIED

Loving someone is something
I've never done
I never stopped to care
I was just having fun

But then I opened my heart
to one special guy
And then I made a mistake
and I told a lie

Now I know he will never
trust me again
Because when he's gone he'll
ask where I've been

Yet there are alot of things
he doesn't understand
Like I miss the simple touch
of his hand

I've grown so attached I just
can't let him go
But my mistake will never go away
and this I know

I can never change what I've done
no matter how hard I try
And once things are dont they are done
with no answer to why

I can't explain what I did
and I can't make it right
So now I want to run and hide
before it starts another fight

Because now when he looks at me
he thinks of that day
And I know he'll never understand
no matter what I say

Yet I know what I did was wrong
everytime I look in his eyes
But once someone doesn't trust you
they think all you do it tell lies
