They say it is better to have loved and lost, to have never loved at all. But when you fall in love, and for some reason or another, that love is lost..... ...it hurts. Two loves lost in a period of a year takes a heavy toll on a heart How can you cope... how can I live? Only a touch away, but his heart miles away... A heart so close to mine, but a touch never to be felt again... Love is gentle, love is kind, but love can have a brutal side Love carefully, keep it safe. If it is better to have loved and lost, to have never loved at all... why do I have this heartache? when will it ever heal? Love lost twice in a year... I have loved... and lost... Am I glad I ever loved at all? |

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the responses I got to my poem... I was very suprised and definitely didn't expect to get so many replies. I don't write much, but I'll post what I do. Thanks again. |

welcome to passions....definatly a wonderful first post...full of soo much emotion! but i cannot agree that it's better to have loved and lost than have loved at all.... i think love when your ready, live while you can. sure love is part of life, but love also comes with experience...this we always talk about in teen isn't love itself...it's our little crushes that we make into the love that we see in front of us daily. i don't believe in teenage love what so ever, maybe cause all i've never felt that strongly and maybe cause i don't think any of us know what love is. but sorry to talk and talk about my nonsense....your poem is still wonderful, it made me vent a bit. thanks, salooma |
