Crystal Tears I hide my heart, tamed for you but below the surface I need to love you the way I know how, unconditionally. Disappointments, fallen sensations I shall let it all flow in crystal, spilling, these raindrops of my soul. Walking alone, tasting tears from an opportunity missed needing to be who I choose to be. How well you express the human malaise here! How our lives are twisted by lack of communication, how we pretend to be who we are to please others, how we make others feel they have to pretend to be someone else. And all of that often out of whims caused by people saying they want this or that and nothing else, when they don't even really know what they want. I'm afraid I am babbling incomprehensibly. I am so sorry. I guess what I want to say is: follow your heart, be yourself. For to be loved for who you are not is no solution. Thanks for waking these thoughts in my mind! This is so melancholy and sweet. It is so important to be who and what you are. It makes me sad to think how simpler everything would be if we let others know what we need, rather than suffering the disappointment when they can't "guess" what it is. Blessings go out to you. Linda |

The depth of this poem is amazing when the brevity of it is taken into consideration. You've managed to pen an entire societal issue in a mere 9 lines. Amazing!
