Darkness pours into my soul, Drenching me with a numbness, A cold, dark, tormenting sleep, That will not let go of its hold on me, It has me trapped, Desperately searching for a place to hide, I feel like an animal caged in my own hell, A hell that is my imagination, There is no way to stop the images, And no way to close my eyes, Where can I go? What can I do? There is nowhere to go, And there is nothing to do, I have to play it out, Pray that I don’t crumble, But pray to who? There is no God, Not one that cares, So who do I pray to? You? You wouldn’t believe me! You wouldn’t trust me! No, I can’t pray to you, You let me down, You said you would never leave me You did, So who do I pray to? Who will listen? There is no one, No one, No one. Beautiful is empty Beautiful is free Beautiful loves no one Beautiful stripped me ~Beautiful~ ~Creed~ |
