I saw you in the distance The brightness in your stare I knew at that very instant That only my heart could bare You and I were connected Bonded from the start Our hearts were as one That no one could pull part Yet you seem so far away So distant to my touch Feeling the loneliness Because I miss you so much The inches seem like miles The miles seem like years The seperation between us Grows wild with my fears So each night I say a prayer That God looks down at me Giving me the courage For the distance that has to be Once there was a darkness Deep and endless night You gave me everything you had Ahhhhhh you gave me light |

Very pretty. Remember to say one also, for all who are like thee.. Jamie Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito. - Virgil. "Yield thou not to adversity, but press on the more bravely". |

Nicely done! I always admire those who can rhyme. It's never been my strong point. |

"the seperation between us grows wild with my tears" Perfect line, great poem. Talk to God for me too would you? "Keep dreams alive, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly." author unknown |

DKW, I think this is really good, alot of nice verses..I wish we all could get by without those empty spots we feel. Nice work!! The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose...--Hada Bejar |

DkW...very good poem. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to move all these lovers close to one another? Out of sight is not, necessarily, out of mind. Hardrock |

DKW...very nice! I know the feeling, and it is tough. Hang in there! Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility. -William Wordsworth- |
