Pineapple Sands Pineapple sands in strands of her, the knowledge soaked and fermented, while pigeons top the list and numbers begin consuming all she was. They wrap her in their times and place tension between her eyes. For nights in courts of public recreation, swindling booths of insanity. Alarming numbers tug at clothing only found today. She fought for safety in yards of fish and tasted the grim truth before. She had it for breakfast that day. She woke to his raging presense and cried for the spoon to feed. To be taken with the sugar sweet and silently slip away, through blades of him, to puffs of you, to soft and yellow sun. [This message has been edited by SpitFire (edited 07-19-2000).] |

SpitFire...What a day-brightener!! I love this...it's like a free-for-all at the confectioner's store. If I was a plagarist, I'd steal half a dozen lines for my own use. Because I'm not, I'll just print it to save for reading again later. Hardrock |

SpitFire, a stunning poem, excellently written. why must we pray screaming? why must not death be redefined? we shut our eyes we stretch out our arms and whirl on a pane of glass-patti smith |

This poem was out of the world my friend . Great choice of words and how you twisted them. I enjoyed it. Ronl Ronil (What I say I live by and what I live by is what I create). |

SpitFire, This was excellent writing my friend. You have grown so much lately in your writing. So proud of you!! ![]() Lone Wolf Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |
