Pain again, Total disdain, Nothing to gain, Emotions feigned. Bitter shell, Empty well, I couldn't tell, I was under your spell. Selfishness the number one rule, They didn't teach you much at school, You played me for a fool, Am I simply a manipulated tool? I suffer eternally, I cry bitterly, I ache internally, And emotionally. Is it all a game? Have you no shame? Tell me what will you gain? Am I just another soul to tame? I am made to suffer? Probably like no other? I steel myself to be tougher, But the game just gets rougher. I hurt but that doesn't matter, An aching soul left in tatters, You laugh inside like the Mad Hatter, Does anything really matter? I'll play the game, Hide my shame, But tell me what will you gain? Nothing but pain yet again...... I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn..... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |

~Isis,...good to see you. This poem is so outwardly honest sounding in it's asking. Strong words filled with feeling. It's rushing in waves from the text. Take care of you. *Peace. |

Thanks Spitfire, I always try to take care of me. The important thing is how long can I be on this computer, before my back says - " NO MORE!" Thanks hon I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn..... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |

I really enjoyed this one, Isis. It's simplicity is almost Laingian. Have you read the poems of R.D. Laing? I love them! I hope your back gets better, BTW!!! Lotharingia "For God's sake, he's a poet. Poets are meant to feel miserable. Otherwise, what the hell are they here for? What are they going to write about?" Tom Holland |

Thanks everyone!! Sven I always try to!! Kynder we all have been 'there' before but you get on with it or through it.. Thanks Dee, the next one, who knows yet? Lotharinga, thanks hon, my back is SLOWLY getting there it could be another few weeks, damaged the joints when I fell BUT it is a lot better than it was. And now I can manage more time on the computer... slowly slowly the snail gets there in the end!! Thanks DJLI it's a bit different but the intense rhyming makes it fun. James I always try to take care of me, but yes I have been pretty stressed lately with the little one being crook all the time, and then myself *sigh* but you keep going cos you have to. Thanks but I'm ok, a good vent always helps I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn..... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |
