Caught sleeping awake, A nightmare haunts me, A scream of terror I let you in silence, No one hears me but my own self. Sweat on my brows, As I reach for the lamp I realize I am not home, I look around foolishly, Trying to find some light, But darkness embraces me with its kiss, I jump in terror, Breathing heavily, Beating of my heart can be heard a thousand miles away, I go insane trying to find the end to this road, Forever it seems as I run around in circles, Trying to wake up from this nightmare I been trapped by my own thoughts, Squeezing my last drop of sanity I anguish in pain, Help me if you hear me, Help me someone, Free me of this nightmare that haunts me even in the day. Ronil (What I say I live by and what I live by is what I create). |

Sounds tortureous. Makes for good poems though. Jamie Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito. - Virgil. "Yield thou not to adversity, but press on the more bravely". |

Yes, this does make a very effective poem. The situation you describe sounds absolutely horrific. Are you talking about yourself? I do hope not!!!!!! Lotharingia "For God's sake, he's a poet. Poets are meant to feel miserable. Otherwise, what the hell are they here for? What are they going to write about?" Tom Holland |
