You tell me you love me, But why? We know so little of each other... Why are we rushing? This is crushing my spirit, And smothering my soul... Give me room, I need to think. How can an indecisive person choose so swiftly? Do you believe this is easy for me? Let my heart prepare, Let my lungs breathe. A rushing so strong, I'm helpless to your requests. I hold on for dear life... As I try not to run away. |

~This is a message that needs to be heard,...before the speaker DOES run away. I understand the need for a bit of your own air,...I heard every word you said. Great expression. Take care. *Peace. |

Hmmm, chances are though, this relationship wasn't thought to be so smothering in the beginning and only has recently been perceived this way. Whatever you do, don't play games. The "other half" of this needs to read this message. It's a good way to get a point across. Take it from someone who has been there, don't say one thing to the other party, and how you truly feel here Be careful please!!! Nice work! |

I was here too. I had a boyfriend who wanted to marry me after two days and move in with him immediately. I acted against my feelings, and that was wrong. If you need time make sure you get it – there’s nothing wrong with going slow. P.s. Great poem! And after all my unsolicited advice, is it about you at all? Lotharingia "For God's sake, he's a poet. Poets are meant to feel miserable. Otherwise, what the hell are they here for? What are they going to write about?" Tom Holland |

Yea it is about me. I believe that I got a lot of empty promises and such just so he could get something out of me. For a while I felt bad, like I couldn't reciprocate his actions. But in reality, I think his smothering was a way to move everything faster... and make me feel bad for not doing what I wasn't prepared for. Thanks for the advice and comments. Jenn |
