Well, I just turned 25 and I can't say that I like it. Ah well, on with another bleak year... To Kill The Child With time my body changes But inside remains the same Still the child I always was Just in a larger frame No-one can ever touch me I hide my soul away Heart beats out a lovers call Crying out in vain Stifled by the walls I've built No room left to grow Clinging to my innocence Should I just let go? Life will wear away the shell So I draw further within Death and Fate one and the same With Time conspiring To kill the child The child with my name... |

Exactly how I feel about it, still a child inside, but not looking the same, not treated the same. Not allowed the same innocence. I hope your life gets happier. Great poem. Cat... |

Now 25 is really old ![]() In this poem you say that on the one hand you want to be loved, but on the other hand you block yourself off from that. Hmmm. That’s a vicious circle. I don’t quite know how keeping the child you are within can interfere with life or love. Do you think no one can love you if you show them your weaknesses, or do you consider the child within you to be a weakness? Or are you just afraid of being vulnerable?? Anyway why Fjiznit? Sorry about all these questions! Lotharingia "For God's sake, he's a poet. Poets are meant to feel miserable. Otherwise, what the hell are they here for? What are they going to write about?"
