Questions on the Plastic Horse Can I ask you to ride with me on the plastic horse in circles for the time,... to feel the callous and pain, the swelling and the wet? To feel it the alluminum way. If I run through this place, in fairy tale nightgowns and bare feet, would you feel my fresh breeze, my sweet breath as I pass? Would you recognize my voice, if I were to speak in time? To release and ask after all that waiting. Fear ate me for dinner that night, and I escaped the truth, I escaped finding your answers, and living with the blood, the paint, and peel of wasted people on carpets with cigarette burns. Can I ask if you'd wish for me,...would you reach for me too? Can I ask if you'd know me, if the passing were so brief? Would you make the effort, would you make the ride? The raid and it's timing, the ring and it's swelling. You showed your love with knuckles clenched white. With grips of time and looks of space. You showed your fear with voices cruel; and now, can I ask you to ride with me,... on the plastic horse in circles,... for the time? [This message has been edited by SpitFire (edited 07-09-2000).] |

What can I say? Wow, And Damn! And magnificent! Could almost talk me into riding on the plastic horse.. "If a man moves you to feel like a woman, the least you can do is let him." Merrit Malloy |

Spitfire, where do you come up this stuff?? Seems like it comes from left field but it's always great and always makes sense...sometimes have to read it 2 or 3 times before it sinks in, but sink in it does. Love your writing. jwesley |
