New Green place Apart from any emotion Wrapped in warm arms Hold me Lover Ocean by any other name I'm calm in the lapping of your waves Calm, and for a moment free Free(the word slides sweetly through my mouth) Surely I will drown in you But I have no remorse Or guilt for that matter As I so carelessly leave this world through the door through which I came- Sinking into your cool green womb I cry your name Not mother Father Not child but glimmer-in-your-eye but nothing nothing |

Very, very nice...enjoyed the imagery and emotional direction. Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility. -William Wordsworth- |

intriguing piece..this reader is left wondering just what this "green womb" can be...hmmm...like the calm tranquil tone here though i suspect that if one reads between the lines, there is subtle bleak darkness underneath ![]() |

What a stunning mystical piece! It allows many interpretations, as Tara, says. Sublime. It reminded me a bit of Octavio Paz. Lotharingia "For God's sake, he's a poet. Poets are meant to feel miserable. Otherwise, what the hell are they here for? What are they going to write about?" Tom Holland |

~Wren,..."aahhh" *Soft sigh*,...that's how this one left me. "Surely I will drown in you",...mmm, love this line. Awesome. *Peace. |

I liked this poem also, and am left wondering the true meaning. Lyrical words. Felt happy and sad at once. "If a man moves you to feel like a woman, the least you can do is let him." Merrit Malloy |
