The morning wake is difficult As my body Prepares for its day. I step out of bed, joints creaking.. Count your blessings I think The routine is mapped out I line up the medication Second nature I suppose Im tired, from nothing in particular.. Exhaustion waiting to go We are companions My life is a daily planner Each page carefully written Any event preceeded or followed By a rest period No reservations No pre-set commitments Everything determined by "tentative plans" A back-up in place Determination Motivation Self-Esteem Confidence Endurance All re-written Definitions changed Still counting blessings Im here..a part of.. Gods Plan [This message has been edited by Deborah1 (edited 07-06-2000).] |

Deb...Wonderful description of life with a chronic condition. I wonder how many people live as you...tentative. The difference is your attitude. You will be one of those who, as they say in Recon Marines, "adapt, improvise and overcome". Keep that positive attitude. Love ya...Hardrock |

I agree with hardrock. I greatly admire your strength. Many give in to despair for less. You are an example to us all. Lotharingia "For God's sake, he's a poet. Poets are meant to feel miserable. Otherwise, what the hell are they here for? What are they going to write about?" Tom Holland |
