Missing A Friend by: Krissie S. When I touch my reflection and see a piece of myself missing, I cry for the friend I never had, but lost all the same. It was something small that crushed me in a big way. Do you even miss me? Does it hurt you that we don't talk? I go to sleep at night praying you cry the same tears as me, Then it would be hope instead of pain running from your eyes. Inside of me, there was always a feeling. That maybe you really were my friend, But now I'm not so sure. I always had to be tough in front of you, even if it didn't look cool. I could never let you see me cry or be weak. I thought it was because I wanted you to see me as strong, But now I know it's because I was afraid that you wouldn't care. I fooled myself and everyone else when I said you'd be there for me when I really needed you. You have your own life and I have mine. And they will never be one and the same. On the outside I'll cry, But only for a little while. And I'll always hold my head up when I walk by you. But on the inside, everytime I hear the phone ring, or a knock at the door, I'll hope it's you ready to forgive me. I still have to play the strong one. And I'm sorry for that, But my pride won't let you see me cry over you. And you'll never leave my heart. Even though I was never in yours. *This is for my friend of 15 yrs (which is a lot when you're only 17!) To Allen- Maybe one day I'll tell you how much I really do love you... This is a great poem and i hope things with you and him work themselves out. i can relate to your words but in different meaning than you wrrite this. this was a great read. good job and i'll pray for ya  keep up the good workDon't fear failure so much that you refuse to try new things. Thanks guys. I know from another's point of view this poem doesn't really seem like much, but I posted it because it describes our relationship at the time perfectly.
