I offer no apologies For the bitterness of words This book contains; Should other eyes than mine, In leisure moments scan Its scattered lines, I can but say: therein you found The remnants of a gentleman's heart; A heart that could not, in blindness, See the fallacies of Faith, Or know the fleet fragility Of spent desire. A foolish heart, that dreamed a while In the elusive chimera of Hope And gave itself...forever... Into hands that crushed to shreds Its frailty, and swept them, Unheeding, To the restless winds. |

* sniff * such eloquent language, such imagery. You are a really talented poet! Lotharingia "For God's sake, he's a poet. Poets are meant to feel miserable. Otherwise, what the hell are they here for? What are they going to write about?" Tom Holland |
