Falling helplessly into love, lust, limerance, (whatever it is). My feet are less stable, almost disconnected from the earth. I am a parachutist with a loose cord, a dancer with a fractured leg, a car with faulty brakes. Out of control, in danger, yet oddly happy. Spiraling toward the inevitable. I am falling faster now. Will you catch me? |

You express that feeling so well! Wonderful piece of work! I posted a poem with the same title in crit a while ago, but the content was completely different! Lotharingia "For God's sake, he's a poet. Poets are meant to feel miserable. Otherwise, what the hell are they here for? What are they going to write about?" Tom Holland |
