Walk Away

The most kissable woman I have ever known
for some unknown reason left me alone.

And even though I try
I can't figure out how or why
she could kiss me that way
and than walk away.

Now my heart wants to know
why did her heart want to go
while mine is eager
to stay and play.

It seems no matter how hard I try
I will never understand why
one heart fits like a glove
and the other heart says "no" to love
and simply walks away.

One of life's greater mysteries I agree James. Perhaps it just wasn't 'there' for her... Still if anyone does ever find the answer let us know eh??

James, when the chemistry is not there for one person, it is hard. well it is her loss to miss out on the caring heart of a talented poet.

Did you know that scientists now think that kissing is the method used by female humans to check the type of immune system that the male has. Perhaps she did not like your immune system. lol, sorry for my slightly less than delicate tone. I've always found that the cold hand of science and technology can do wonders in reducing the pain of romantic problems.

This is a good poem. It is true, there are quite a few painful mysteries that one encounters on the road of life - especially in romance.

I think that this is the hardest and most understood part of life. How can one love so much and the other not. I hope that things get better and it was her loss
