The hall is dark, the kids asleep And the moon mocks… The transformation takes place slowly, And the light shines to where his altar Sits…. Waiting. His fingers cold from the heart that stopped caring, He warms them by firing up the keyboard. And the screensaver says…welcome And he is thirsty for the blood of their emotions. Who will his victim is this evening? Who will he entice? He can tell them anything, How would they know? It’s a wicked heart that beats within a warm chest Until the day he will not recover from the wall he finds. The wall where the Netherland of his utterances reverberate to his soul and he is shattered. For in his shallow existence he has forgotten that he not only bought a ticket to ride… he not only signed on and paid his dues, but he pays more when he finds the one who purges him And he begins to care. And at that point, HE begins to bleed. |
