I've exhausted every possible solution I've tried every game there is to play. In this search for my own perfection, I'm convinced I've only left myself ashamed. Hey, you- in the mirror- staring back at me... oh, concience, let me be. Yeah, I wonder if you can hear my despair. Afraid to live my life: afraid he doesn't care. And if he answers and I fall again, Can I still be his daughter? Can I still depend on him? My convictions seem to fade with desperation. My hope declines with each and every tear. My sin an anchor and his face just an illusion, the goblet is heavy and justice is near. The light comes on, I find stains on my hands I put my pride aside, I know he won't understand because it's deeper than deep and it's wider than wide why did I ever doubt? Now I'm dying inside. They really are wrong when they say I am strong as the darkness covers me. *Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest.* |

We all have questions we cannot answer. I think that this poem had asked some of the questions that we refuse to admit to ourselves. Welcome to Passions. "My soul lives in love, walks with serenity, and dies in violence." --ALG |

prevailing darkness, firstly welcome to passions. Secondly do not go gentle into that good night, rage rage... Dylan Thomas suits your style. You did this poem so well, full of passion and strength. write on, be strong. Kethry Religion is for people frightened about going to hell - Spirituality is for people who have been there. Anon. |
