My ignorant inner child Perhaps more blind than naive Choosing not to understand The reasons you wish to leave I've seen fragments of her picture Glimpsed her tender soul The hope that you have given her Mending her spirit whole I've done my best to be angry To feed my jealous heart But what use to grieve your troubled mind I've never had you from the start So, quietly I'll leave you now As a friend that you once knew Who wishes you joy in the love you've found My final gift to you..... Oh wow, Sheila! This was GREAT and very powerful. Walking away is very difficult and yet especially given him to another woman.
