Once was a goddess I had the sacred fruits of union But a myth stole my spawn and left me to dine on ash it's angst choking me I misplaced my voice a sour song of pity petty sympathy in symphony He had a name but im forbidden to speak for fear of him stealing my dreams which is all i can afford as a welfare washout poverty stricken princess sellout left barren and soiled and so empty so very empty and i air my dirty laundry dirty girl filthy female, lost, confused and nothing left to lose and now numb is a luxury for someome who once was a goddess.< !signature--> "Like a soul without a mind, in a body without a heart, Im missing every part." Dawn, this is the best ever I have read from you. Wow. It says so much, so many different paths to follow. Cheer up, fellow cold one.. Sandra Dream as if you'll live forever; Live as if you'll die today. — James Dean |

Princess, You have combined the epitome of the quest for the Princess life. I can relate to this with all my heart. This was a phenomenal read! Elise |

It is great to see your poetry up on the site again and to read your words, even though it hurts to read this poem. No matter what happens you will always be my Goddess, take care my Princess until next we speak. "an afixiation a fix on anything the line of life the limb of a tree the hands of he and the promise that s/he is blessed among women". Patti Smith |

catalinamoon: youve put a big smile on my face...thank you so much for that. athena4: its sad that you relate to this...but, they say misery loves company! thank you very much for enjoying this and commenting. Brian: *grin*...you know all too well what this poem means to me.......and you always bring my spirits up...thank you for being you and sharing yourself with me...i'll soon stop wallowing in self pity and you'll be my muse again (*smile*....*sigh*) "Like a soul without a mind, in a body without a heart, Im missing every part." It's beautiful to read something so real amongst all the sentimental rubbish. A true heart just speaking what hurts - will always mean love to me... |

Even in legend, a goddess never dies, hence why they are called such *wink* Glad I stopped in and read this one. Jeremy "Those little slices of death, how I loathe them." -Edgar Allen Poe |
