Never would I have expected this horrid outcome this lack of compassion this coldness arising from the warmth he had given me. Never would I have believed he would take love and dreams and laugh in their face, crush them under his ever so nice shoes and walk away, maintaining a spring in his step while I lay on the bathroom floor, my heart bleeding out all over me. Never would I have agreed to be hurt like this, to be all but destroyed with shallow words, so falsely placed and hardened arms that held me tight, then pushed me away with violent denial almost in the same instant, as though schizophrenia were a viable answer. Never Never |
