Letters postmarked yesterday float to the river below rest on the surface the water seeping in bluring the words It's only a matter of time before they forget about the message that didn't even arrive |

A definite image was in my mind of a letter floating on the water, slowly dissolving into nothing. I just have a question, when you were writing this, what kind of letter were you picturing? A love letter perhaps, or maybe a notice of a death in the family? Looking forward to what the poem is about from your perspective. Take Care, CA There is a dream inside a dream. I really like this poem, it has a haunting mystery about it. It is a keeper I would say. |

Thanks dragonpoe, Chained Angel, and Songbird. A guy or girl, not sure which, almost like it doesn't matter anymore becuase it's a suicide note. Saying they won't be coming back. But the saddest part is that the family doesn't even know that there was a letter to be delivered in the first place. Thanks for your kind coments. I really had a strong image in my head of the envelope floating down. Joy |
